Hector Delgado Román was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico on September 4, 1979, artistically known as Hector "El Father", is one of the most prominent singers of the Reggaeton genre. He was part of the famous duo Hector y Tito, who split up in 2004 and now each makes his solo career.
Hector "El Father" is one of the main exponents of the reggaeton genre and is considered by many as the father of reggaeton that's where his musical name comes from. Despite his young age in music, Hector has a broad artistic career.
Currently Hector "El Father" is considered as the third best reggaeton player in terms of tiraera after Tempo and Polaco, besides, at the moment he is not in lyrical wars with any artist, nevertheless in several songs he has let see his enmity towards Don Omar and Arcángel.
In March 2008, Hector "El Father" announced that he would leave the tiraera behind. He clarified that he would not make tiraras either Don Omar or Arcangel, he simply said: "In my heart I reconciled with Don Omar, with Daddy Yankee and with Tito" El Bambino "because there is no grudge in me towards them", said about his rivals in the reggaeton genre. This is due, according to the singer, that in recent times he has been getting very close to God. At the same time he declared that his retirement is near, but he promised that before leaving, he will release one more album: The Last Judgment.
In 2008 he retired from the genre with the album The Final Judgment to become the gospel.
